St. Michael's were represented extremely well in today's AIJS Spelling Bee competition which was held in the picturesque Sutton Park School this morning and afternoon. Although, ultimately unsuccessful, Hugh Cronin, Patrick De Vreeze and Ben Ryan were fine ambassadors for the school in this competition which involved many AIJS schools in Dublin. Our three representatives were selected following very competitive class spelling contests which saw two representatives emerge successfully from each participating class. The respective class spelling champions then battled it out to determine which students would progress to today's AIJS event. The eventual winners of our school Spelling Bee were: 1st Hugh Cronin, 2nd Patrick De Vreeze and 3rd Ben Ryan. Congratulations again to all three boys and well done on your performance today. Thank you to all of the teachers who have helped select our Spelling Bees by running off the in-class Spelling Bee competitions before advancing the successful boys to the finals. We also wish to give a special thanks and our appreciation to the parents of our three champions who looked after getting the boys to and from the event today.
