In order to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the school on May 8th 1944, and to celebrate the new Junior School building completed this year, we undertook a very special Ceramic Handprint Project before the holidays. This project involved visiting artist, Michelle Maher, taking a clay handprint of each child and staff member. The drying and firing of the handprints will be completed off site over the summer with the installation taking place in August, ready for the return of the boys. Each handprint will also have the name of the child/ staff member and will be mounted on the upstairs corridor. We are very grateful to the parent body, the Parents’ Association and Past Pupils’ Union for their financial support of the project which will be a lasting memorial to this special time in the school’s history.
