On Saturday last, boys in Second Form received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. It was a very special and memorable occasion for the boys and their families. The beautiful Mass was celebrated by Fr. Paddy Moran C.S.Sp. to whom we extend our thanks. We were also delighted to welcome Fr. Denis O’Connor C.Ss.R (granduncle of Oscar) to con-celebrate. We are very grateful to Fr. James Hurley P.P. Queen of Peace Parish, Merrion Road for facilitating us in the Church. The excellent preparation undertaken by Ms. Smith assisted by Ms. Culleton was very evident as the boys participated fully and reverently in the Mass.
We are also very grateful to Ms. Massey and the choir from Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Forms accompanied by Ms Denise Kelly, for the fabulous singing which enhanced the ceremony so much. After the Mass, the boys and their families gathered for a delicious reception in the Assembly Hall which had been organised by the parents in First Form, under the direction of Mrs. Joanne Kavanagh.
Congratulations to the First Holy Communicants and heartfelt thanks to all who helped to ensure that the occasion was so memorable.
