Since 1944, the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans) have provided an all - inclusive education for boys of primary school age. Today this tradition is continued by a highly qualified dedicated staff who provide a safe and caring learning environment for boys from Junior Infants to Sixth Form. Boys who join the school receive an education which emphasises academic progress in addition to the spiritual, sporting and artistic development of each child. Our school is a thriving and welcoming community where every effort is made to ensure that our boys have a happy and enjoyable experience that will enable them to develop to their full potential.
The school is situated adjacent to the Senior School with whom we share extensive on campus facilities. Our Junior School starts off on a small scale with a preschool. This leads to just one class from Junior Infants until Third Form. From Third Form through Sixth Form we have two class groups per year. The school is thus small enough to allow each boy develop in a nurturing environment but large enough to allow the boys to experience a wide range of extracurricular activities. From morning supervision which begins at 7.45a.m. until late afternoon and into weekends, boys forge friendships in their classrooms, on the pitches, courts and on stage. Junior School boys become part of an on-going tradition and for many the friends they make remain with them for life. There is a definite "family atmosphere" in the Junior School. The pupils, teachers, Board of Management and Parents' Association work collaboratively, making our school a close-knit community. Widespread support from all parents assists the staff to provide a positive experience for all the boys in the school.
