Senior Infants

We have had a great year in senior infants. We are looking forward to the summer holidays!
We had an amazing time in Glenroe Farm! Seeing all the animals up close was so exciting, from seeing the piglets to watching the lambs. We especially loved meeting the two goats; Robin and Batman. We had lots of fun on the playground with our friends
Senior Infants had a visit from the fire brigade. They had fun trying on the helmets and shooting the water canon!
Today we got to release our butterflies in our new garden. There are many beautiful flowers there which the butterflies will love. We hope they enjoy their new home. Goodbye to Con, Connor, Kate and Vivienne.
Senior Infants created beautiful beaded bracelets in our new Art room. They are so happy to have this space to be creative and innovative learners.
The caterpillars have become beautiful butterflies. We will feed them and release them in 3 days so they can live a happy life in the gardens.
Please see below for more information.
The caterpillars have now formed their chrysalis and have begun the changes to become butterflies. This takes 7-14 days. We are so excited to welcome our butterflies in the next two weeks!
The boys returned from their Easter holidays to a surprise: Five caterpillars! We will watch them grow and turn into butterflies over the next few weeks. The boys are very excited to follow along with this journey.
Lá Glas! The boys dressed in green and performed songs and poems for the school. We had a great day celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Lá Fhéile Pádraig!
Dia duit gach duine! Bhí am iontach againn ag ceiliúradh seachtain na Gaeilge. Rinne na buachaillí rince sa chéilí, d’imir siad cluichí cláir le rang a 6 agus ghlac siad páirt i dtráth na gceist boird. Chríochnaíomar an seachtain ag ceiliúradh Lá Fhé
Happy 1st March. What a way to start Spring! The boys enjoyed building snowman and running around in the snow. What a lovely surprise!
This week we are learning all about the weather. We are exploring the different seasons, building weather stations and molding weather with our playdough.
Senior Infants celebrated the midterm with waffles and chocolate chips!
We have had a great start to 2024 in Senior Infants! Here are some pictures of what we have gotten up to. We've explored different foods in Aistear & sang songs with our friends!
This week in Senior Infants we are learning about the Artic! We are exploring the different animals and their habitats. Penguins are a class favourite!
